CAPT Bob Koffman Received the 2008 Sears Award

The 2008 Sears Award went to CAPT Bob Koffman. CAPT Koffman accepted the award at the conclusion of lunch surrounded by 40 attending and resident psychiatrists, including three past recipients of the Sears Award.

I regret that I do not have a photo of the Sears Award to post. For those of you who have never seen it, the symbol of the Sears Award is a three-dimensional etched Baccarat crystal approximating a flame. The crystal is a little smaller than a football and quite heavy. It is seated on a wooden pedestal on which all the past awardees names are engraved on a brass plaque. I have tried to photograph the crystal in the past, but it defies all autofocus digital cameras.
