High Surf

There were 18-20 foot waves coming ashore on San Diego beaches today, so I drove to La Jolla to get a look. It was quite a beautiful and noisy display. There were no surfers in the water because of life-threatening rip currents. It is nearly impossible to capture in a static photograph from shore the sheer power and utter glory of a moving ocean wave. Instead, a photo of the pelicans.
